Diamond Credit Union raised $6,700 for Relay For Life through All in for Hope, which took place on November 2, at BlackJax American Pub & Grill in Douglasville, Pa.
All in for Hope is a dance and chance event where participants can play casino games and exchange their winnings for raffle tickets to enter drawings for raffle baskets. Over 100 people attended the event and had a chance to win 20 raffle prizes and bid on 18 silent auction baskets. They also enjoyed food and drinks that were provided by BlackJax. All raffle prizes and silent auction items were donated by Diamond Credit Union, Diamond employees and sponsors.
In addition to the casino games, there was also a beer pong competition with 14 teams. Half of the money raised through the competition went to the winning team, and the other half was donated to Relay For Life.
“We’re amazed by people’s generosity,” Diamond Credit Union Marketing Officer and All in for Hope Committee Member, Gabrielle Hodes said. “Every donation – from the purchase of a ticket to attend, to buying 50/50 tickets, basket donations and our sponsors – are what makes this event successful. Our goal is to provide attendees with good times and good vibes while they support Relay For Life.”

Diamond in the Community
All in for Hope wasn’t the only occasion where Diamond employees joined for a good cause. You also may have spotted Diamond volunteers throughout Berks and Montgomery counties.
Hobart’s Run & Fitzy Run
The Pottstown team dressed up in their costumes and volunteered at Hobart’s Annual Run by the River 5K on October 27. They distributed t-shirts, provided guidance and cheered on runners. A portion of the proceeds went to the Pottstown Halloween Parade.
The Wyomissing team attended and sponsored Fitzy’s Run on October 26. Proceeds from the run benefit Lauren’s Foundation, which supports local families with seriously ill children, brain tumor research and organ donation awareness.
Thun Trail Clean Up on the Schuylkill River Trail
Diamond volunteers met at the Brentwood Trailhead on October 23 to clean up a portion of the Schuylkill River Trail. Employees trimmed trees, pulled weeds and picked up litter.
GOAToberfest
The Exeter branch worked hard to plan GOAToberfest on October 10. They brought in a baby goat, had sweet treats, pumpkins to paint and crafts. All proceeds from the event benefited Exeter Area Food Pantry.
Thank you
Diamond Credit Union is grateful for the community and for all of the chances the organization has to give back. Your donations are what allow Diamond to be so involved.
