Team Diamond was at it again with our annual Dance and Chance (Beef and Beer) party for a cure! We pride ourselves on blending hard work with fun, and this event sure met the criteria.
What is a Dance and Chance?
Diamond’s Dance and Chance is much more than your average Beef and Beer. With the added gaming element and general focus on fun, this is always a great time. This event is a staple of the Diamond’s Hope Relay fundraising season, so please keep an eye out for details of next year’s event.
Over 120 people came out to the Gilbertsville Fire Company for a night of dinner, drinks, table games, and beer pong. Guests tried their luck at black jack, roulette, and the wheel for chances to win raffle tickets for 6 lucrative prizes, including computers, a Broilmaster gas grill, Flyers tickets, Phillies tickets, and Baskets of cheer. There was also a separate beer pong tournament where half of the entry fees went to the Relay and half to the winner. And there was a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. In total, the event raised $4320.53.
Volunteers make it happen.
Special thanks to Diamond employees Vicky B., Phil F., and Stacey R. for putting together this awesome event. And to all of the Diamond employees, family, and friends who volunteered for the evening. Without the whole team, there would be no event.
The Diamond’s Hope Relay Team is a huge advocate for the American Cancer Society because we value their efforts in supporting local patients, making huge strides in cancer prevention and treatment, and funding valuable research to fund a cure.
Our next fundraiser is the Annual Charity Golf Invitational on May 6, followed by a Wine Tasting at Manatawny Creek Winery on May 7. Also, look forward to announcements about Shredding, Bingo, and Glow Golf in the coming months. And of course, we’ll see you at the Relay!
