Diamond Credit Union’s Cumru Township branch, located at 1030 Cedar Top Road in Reading, Pa 19607, is officially open for members and those interested in joining. You can visit the new Cumru location during normal business hours.
The Cumru Township location is the Credit Union’s eighth branch. Diamond Credit Union’s President/CEO, Rick Patel, spoke at the grand opening on April 16.
“Our vision is to be leaders and provide financial security to everyone in the community,” Patel said. “I am happy to see that our vision is coming to life through this new branch.”
Patel went on to thank everyone that was involved in the development and execution of the Cumru loacation including Diamond’s Board of Directors, and the Diamond Team; the Township of Cumru; Dr. Robert Hanna, CARBO Management Services – Developer; Jeff Evans, KFZ Design Vice President; John Theis, Design Consultant; Diamond’s Facilities Supervisor, Matt Sockel; AMES Construction; Tim Klatt, La Macchia Group; John Faust, retired Diamond President/CEO; and the new Cumru Team.
The branch is 4,100 square feet and fully staffed with an award winning team. There are self-serve kiosks for members to utilize. The kiosks are meant to improve the banking experience so members can complete their transactions at their convenience.
Cori Coleman is the Cumru Branch Manager and she spoke about how excited she is to bring Diamond into the Cumru community.
“We are here for you, Cumru,” Coleman said. “We’re excited to spread Diamond’s mission and vision and help improve your financial lives.”
Coleman has been with Diamond for 11 years. She began her career as the Assistant Branch Manager of the Exeter branch and was promoted to Branch Manager shortly after.
To celebrate the grand opening, people who visit the branch will have an opportunity to enter to win one of five raffle prizes. The prizes include two tickets for the Philadelphia Eagles, two tickets for the Philadelphia Flyers, an iPad, five hundred dollars, and four tickets to the Reading Fightin Phils. Diamond Donates to Helping Harvest

A portion of the grand opening was dedicated to Helping Harvest, a food bank that collects and donates to over 350 programs throughout Berks and Schuylkill counties. Diamond Credit Union donated one thousand dollars to support this organization that gives back to the people of Berks County.
“Our goal is to help people financially and support them in their everyday lives through service and volunteering,” Coleman said. “I am honored to present this check to Helping Harvest because they do so much for the people of our community. Each year they provide over 100,000 families with meals, right here in our backyards.”
