Habitat for Humanity Mini-Playhouse Raffle
Diamond Credit Union partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Berks County to raise funds. Habitat for Humanity of Berks and Diamond raffled off a mini-playhouse that had been built by woodshop volunteers from Habitat, a $250 and a $100 Redner’s gift card, a $200 gift card to The Works at Wyomissing and an Entertainment Package. The Entertainment Package included two tickets to see The Best of The Eagles Show, and an overnight stay at the DoubleTree of Reading with breakfast and dinner. People could purchase tickets between January and March to enter the raffle.
With the generous donations and support from the community, Diamond was able to donate $10,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Berks County.
Habitat for Humanity of Berks helps provide housing to Berks County residents and the surrounding areas.
Diamond Celebrates Nurses Appreciation Week
Nurses Appreciation Week was May 6 through May 12 and Diamond’s Hospital branch and Wyomissing branch wanted to show their support. They brought treats and a gift basket to the nurses in Tower Health Rehab in Wyomissing, Pa. The Hospital branch also created a popcorn bar to celebrate Nurses Appreciation Week at Reading Hospital.
Preston’s Pantry Food Drive & Community Day
The Boyertown branch took part in the 6th Annual Preston’s Pantry Community day help by the Boyertown Area Multi-Service. They helped the Pantry reach their goal of raising $1,000 and collecting food on May 4.
Boyertown Coming Out of Hibernation
The Boyertown branch also celebrated spring and the warmer weather at Boyertown’s Coming Out of Hibernation event. They had the chance to speak with community members and hand out free giveaways for people to enjoy.
Park and Trail Clean Ups
The Diamond Team spent a Saturday in Pottstown, Pa. helping the Borough of Pottstown’s Parks and Recreation Department. They mulched, pulled weeds and collected trash on April 13 at Manatawny Green Mini Golf Course and Memorial Park.
On April 20, the Royersford branch went to Victory Park in Royersford, Pa. to clean up. They pulled weeds and collected to trash to help maintain the park.
