United Way of Berks County’s Big Cheese 10

A group of Diamond employees joined over 500 volunteers to participate in the United Way of Berks County’s 10th annual Big Cheese held on June 12. The Beaver Athletics and Wellness Center at Penn State Berks was rocking as these volunteers helped pack over 250,000 meals. These meals are distributed by Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank and given to local school children, food pantries throughout Berks County, and to the Reading School District.

Big Brother Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake

Diamond Credit Union had four teams participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County’s Bowl for Kids Sake on April 21. In total, they were able to raise $2,515 for the organization.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks serves children between the ages of eight and nineteen with a goal of creating one-to-one mentoring relationships that inspire youth, build self-confidence, and help them reach their full potential. “Over the past eight years it has been an incredible privilege to support Big Brothers Big Sisters through Bowl for Kids’ Sake, helping bring Diamond team members together to make a meaningful difference” said Diamond’s Wyomissing Assistant Branch Manager, Kaylee Rivera. “Giving back alongside so many generous people has been both an honor and a blessing, I’m grateful to be a part of a cause that changes lives.”

Manatawny Green Mini Golf Course Clean Up

On April 18, Diamond partnered with Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department to help clean up Manatawny Green Mini Golf Course. Volunteers helped prepare the course for the upcoming mini-golf season by weeding, mulching, and pick up debris around the course.

Collection Drives

  • Shoe Drive for Mary’s Shelter
    • An incredible 115 pairs of shoes were collected at our Wyomissing branch during the month of June to benefit Mary’s Shelter and support their work in our community!
  • Fostering Hope
    • During the month of June our Pottstown branch collected over 75 personal care items to benefit Fostering Hope of PA. These items are given to children in foster care, and their foster families to help support their needs.

Relay For Life of Berks County

On May 30, Diamond Credit Union attended and supported Relay For Life of Berks County at Leesport Fairgrounds. While Relay For Life of Berks is one day a year, Diamond hosts several fundraising events throughout the year. For the 2025-2026 Relay season, Diamond had Hot Dog & Taco Days, the John M. Faust Charity Golf Invitational, and All in for Hope, which all raise money for Relay For Life.

Serving the Community at Opportunity House

Volunteers from Diamond’s Exeter branch were at Opportunity House in Reading, Pa. on June 2. They prepared and served breakfast to community members that utilize the shelter at Opportunity House. This is the fourth year that the Exeter branch has done this.

Bucks Knocks Out Hunger

Diamond team members were proud to volunteer at United Way of Bucks County’s Bucks Knocks Out Hunger event on June 12. Volunteers helped pack healthy meals that will be distributed to food pantries throughout the county.
