Diamond Credit Union’s vision is to bring opportunity to every member of the community. This extends beyond banking and helping members with their finances. Keep reading to see where and how Diamond volunteers made an impact during Quarter two of 2025.

United Way of Berks County’s Big Cheese

A group of Diamond employees joined nearly 1,000 volunteers to participate in the United Way of Berks County’s Big Cheese. Together, they helped pack over 500,000 meals over the span of June 12 and 13. These meals were distributed by Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank and given to local school children through the Weekender Program, food pantries throughout Berks County, and to Reading School District.

Wine, Women and Shoes

Diamond Credit Union was a Wine Glass Sponsor for Wine, Women and Shoes, an event that raised money for Opportunity House. Wine, Women and Shoes took place on June 12, at the DoubleTree in Reading, Pa. Several Diamond representatives attended the event to support Opportunity House. The organization provides support to homeless men, women, families, and veterans to help them return to safe, stable, and affordable housing.

Habitat for Humanity of Berks County

In June, Diamond’s Mortgage team volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Berks County. Together, they worked on a house in Reading, Pa., and they installed insulation in the home.

Animal House Project Food Drive

Diamond Credit Union’s Boyertown, Pottstown, and Royersford branches collected pet food and supplies for Animal House Project in April. With the communities help, they collected 660 pounds of pet food.

Relay For Life of Berks County

On May 31, Diamond Credit Union attended and supported Relay For Life of Berks County at Leesport Fairgrounds. While Relay For Life of Berks is one day a year, Diamond hosts several fundraising events throughout the year. For the 2024-2025 Relay season, Diamond had Hot Dog Days, the John M. Faust Charity Golf Invitational, and All in for Hope, which all raise money for Relay For Life.

Serving the Community at Opportunity House

Volunteers from Diamond’s Exeter branch were at Opportunity House in Reading, Pa. on May 3. They purchased food and served it to community members that utilize the shelter at Opportunity House. This is the third year that the Exeter branch has done this.

Big Brother Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake

Diamond Credit Union had six teams that participated in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County’s Bowl for Kids Sake on April 26. They were able to raise $2,900 for the organization. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks serves children between the ages of eight and nineteen, and strives to foster positive and measurable growth through improved relationships and performance at home, in school, and throughout the community.

“There’s something fulfilling about connecting with the people and organizations that make this community so special,” Diamond Credit Union President/CEO, Rick Patel said. “It’s a privilege to stand alongside you, to support one another, and to grow with each other.”

Where dedication meets making a difference, that’s Younity.
