The Diamond Credit Union Team volunteered their time to support several community organizations within the last few months. Some of those include Relay For Life, KidsPeace Foster Care of Reading, Pa., Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County and more. Keep reading to see how they lent out helping hands.
Diamond’s Hope Awarded The Heart of Relay at Berks County Relay For Life
Over 30 Diamond volunteers attended the Berks County Relay For Life on June 30. They walked around the track to show support and raise money for Relay For Life. Diamond Credit Union’s Relay For Life team, Diamond’s Hope, was awarded, The Heart of Relay. This award is given to teams who embody the spirit of Relay For Life and demonstrate dedication and passion to support Relay.

Royersford Blood Drive for Miller-Keystone Blood Center
The Royersford branch coordinated a blood drive for the Miller-Keystone Blood Center on June 26. There were 17 donors that came together to donate a total of 16 pints of blood. That is enough to save up to 48 lives.
Diamond’s Mortgage Department Volunteers for Habitat for Humanity of Berks County
Diamond Credit Union’s Mortgage Team met the Habitat for Humanity crew at a house in Reading, Pa. on July 11. They helped the organization paint the inside of a house that was being prepared for someone from the community to move into.
Jingle in July Toy Drive for KidsPeace Foster Care of Reading
The Muhlenberg branch held their annual toy drive during July to benefit KidsPeace Foster Care of Reading. KidsPeace Foster Care provides services to foster children and families in Berks and neighboring counties. School Supply Drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County
The Diamond Team collected school supplies for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County in July. Enough supplies were collected to donate 24 backpacks that each had a water bottle, four folders, four notebooks, a composite notebook, pack of pencils, pack of crayons, pack of colored pencils, pen, pencil sharpener, 10 erasers, a ruler, a pencil box, four glue sticks, highlighter, fidget toy and slinky. The backpacks were put together by the children of Diamond employees that came to Bring Your Child to Work Day.
