
12 Local Charities Benefitted Through Diamond’s 2022 Ks for Commyounity
Diamond Credit Union partnered with the Reading Fightin Phils for the 2022 season to support 12 local charities in Diamonds Ks for Commyounity.
• Baseballtown Charities – The organization has been serving children in need in Reading since 2002, by giving them the opportunity to learn and play baseball.
• Habitat for Humanity of Berks County – This non-profit focuses on revitalizing neighborhoods, providing affordable housing options and homeownership opportunities for families in need.
• KidsPeace Foster Care in Reading – KidsPeace provides foster care to children in the Reading/Pottsville area. They also provide adoption and counseling services to families.
• The Ricketts Center – This community center provides after school educational, recreational and wellness activities to Pottstown youth.
• New Hanover Volunteer Fire & Rescue Services – This is a 100% volunteer emergency service organization. They provide emergency care and education to New Hanover Township residents.
• PAWSibilities Animal Rescue – This rescue works to improve the lives of domestic animals and provide them with loving homes.
• Animal Rescue League of Berks County (ARL) – The ARL protects animals and provides programs and services to help animals in need in Berks County.
• Preston’s Pantry – Preston’s Pantry was created in 2019 to honor the passing of 9-year-old Preston Dray. The pantry provides food to local Boyertown residents in need and surrounding areas.
• Red Corner Benefit – This is a non-profit organization that supports the fight against childhood cancer.
• Adalyn Rose Foundation – This foundation provides financial and emotional support to families grieving the loss of a baby.
• Lauren’s Foundation: 2022 Fitzy’s Run – This non-profit supports high school seniors, families with seriously ill children, brain tumor research and organ donation awareness.
• In Ian’s Boots – This Pottstown organization focuses on providing footwear to those in need in the United States and around the world.
Each organization received an average donation of $554 through Ks for Commyounity.
“We’re happy to have had the opportunity to support local charities that are doing so much good for our communities,” Diamond President/CEO Rick Patel said. “To also give them a chance to enjoy a night of baseball was an added bonus.”
