A Busy Start to 2026

We were busy for the first few months of 2026, and we’re looking forward to keeping up the momentum as we move through the year. Keep reading to see where Diamond volunteers were so far, and what they were up to.

Spread the Love Collection Drive for the Boyertown Area Multi-Service

Throughout January and February, our accounting team held a Spread the Love collection drive to celebrate Valentine’s Day. They collected and donated 654 pounds of household essentials, hygiene products, and non-perishable items to the Boyertown Area Multi-Service.

The Boyertown Area Multi-Service provides resources to the greater Boyertown community.

Operation 143 Collection Drive & Backpack Night

Our Boyertown, Royersford, and Pottstown branches held collection drives in January and February to benefit Operation 143. In March, they brought the items they collected to Operation 143’s headquarters in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and stuffed backpacks.

Every week, the organization provides over 200 students that attend school in Pottstown, Pottsgrove, Boyertown, Upper Perk and Spring Ford School Districts with a backpack. The backpacks are filled with enough food and supplies to last the weekend.

Sock Drive for Reading Hospital

All Diamond branches collected socks in March for Tower Health Reading Hospital’s A4 Podiatry Clinic. We were able to donate over 200 pairs of socks thanks to the community’s generous donations.

Easter Baskets for Berks

Our mortgage team held a collection drive in March for the Reading Berks Association of Realtors Outreach Committee for Easter Baskets for Berks. They were able to create 20 Easter baskets that were then donated to Opportunity House, One Luv Outreach, Mary’s Shelter and Safe Berks.

Financial Reality Fairs at Local Schools

Our team attends financial reality fairs throughout the school year at schools in Berks and Montgomery counties along with other local credit unions. Recently, volunteers visited Schuylkill Valley High School, Pottsgrove High School, and Muhlenberg High School.

Financial Reality Fairs are volunteer events where local credit unions visit schools to teach students about finances. At the fairs, the students create a budget sheet and visit different stations that go over the costs of insurance, food, furniture, housing, and more.

Hop-a-Palooza

Our Exeter team was in the Easter spirit and held a fun event to celebrate on April 9. They had baked goods, crafts, and snacks for community members to purchase. The Easter Bunny made a special visit to take photos as well. All proceeds from the event were donated to a toy drive held by Motta’s Country Garden and Landscaping.

“I’m incredibly proud to stand alongside our community members and team members who give not just their resources, but their time, energy, and heart,” Diamond Credit Union President and CEO, Rick Patel said. “I want to extend my thank you to all our volunteers and community members that make these events and donations possible.”

Where purpose meets impact, that’s younity.
