Diamond Credit Union was recognized as the third top business in Reading, Pa., for 2024, by the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) on May 22.
The GRCA selects the Top 50 Businesses from the Greater Reading Area every year. To be considered, businesses need to have a revenue of at least $1 million dollars for the three most recent fiscal years. The research is compiled by KPMG, LLC., a financial services firm.
This is the fifteenth year that Diamond has been named as a Top 50 Business, and it is also the highest the Credit Union has ever ranked. Diamond Credit Union’s President and CEO, Rick Patel, spoke about what this award means for Diamond.
“I want to thank the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance for recognizing Diamond as a Top 50 Business,” Patel said. “We are continuing to grow and spread our mission and vision across Berks County. All of our success goes back to our community and our members.”
To celebrate the Top 50 Businesses, the GRCA held an awards ceremony and dinner at Santander Arena on May 22. Former Philadelphia Eagles running back, Brian Westbrook, spoke at the awards ceremony. Westbrook founded the Brian Westbrook Foundation. He helps teach young people about financial literacy, leadership skills and life skills.
The GRCA created a video to exemplify what Diamond Credit Union is, and what makes it the number three business in the Greater Reading Area. You can watch the video here.
