Diamond Credit Union’s Tower Health Reading Hospital branch helped the N3S Oncology Department through Diamond Cares, its annual drive. The branch, like N3S Oncology has a home on Reading Hospital’s campus, and raised funds and collected items for their neighbors.
Dozens of items were donated. Included were: blankets, socks, coffee, soda, snacks, and a variety of personal hygiene products. They were accompanied by a check for $600. Everything donated will directly help the patients of N3S and the families and staff who care for them.
Christine Allen MSN, RN, Nurse Manager N3S Oncology of Reading Hospital and John Faust, President/CEO of Diamond Credit Union (Center, with check, L-R), along with staff from both organizations, celebrate the credit union’s annual Diamond Cares campaign.
For many people, the items that were donated are in ample supply in their homes, or easily acquired at the store. However, to those who rely on the N3S, the comfort they provide is immeasurable.
“The supplies we received have been very helpful,” said Christine Allen MSN, RN, Nurse Manager N3S Oncology. “We appreciate the support Diamond Credit Union gave our unit.”
Diamond Cares began in 2011 and branch employees are always eager to give back as part of the annual drive.
“With each new year we are more inspired and humbled by the care and compassion Reading Hospital provides for its patients,” said John Faust, President/CEO of Diamond Credit Union. “We also applaud our hospital branch staff’s commitment to the community they serve.”
